Quinta da Alagoa

Quinta da Alagoa: Pic-nics, watch peacocks and ducks, play tennis, run, chill

It once was a Carcavelos wine production estate (Vinho de Carcavelos) but today it is a lovely green park, where parents, kids and couples come to rest and spend lovely times.

The border has remains of the original forest, raised in topiary boxwood along the ruins of the old buildings. Alagoa is the old portuguese form of lake and this park has peacocks wandering around, ducks, fish, turtles, and many other species that will delight your eyes.

All the locals know Quinta da Alagoa, with its vast lawns, lake, two playgrounds, tennis courts, bars, and even an old little castle in ruins where children still play and celebrate birthdays with picnics.
